Contrary to the mass marketing – roast turkey is not just for the holidays! A turkey breast is the right size to feed a family… but if you’re cooking for two go ahead and make it! Check out the recipes on my blog for what to do with leftover turkey (like turkey pot pie)!
Serve this with mashed potatoes or stack it up for an open-faced turkey sandwich meal!
Slow Cooker Turkey Breast
1 turkey breast (generally 6-7 lbs.)
2 Tbsp. butter, softened
1/2 tsp. dried rosemary
1/2 tsp. dried thyme
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
1 (14.5 oz) can chicken broth (or stock)
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. cold tap water
Remove turkey from packaging and remove gravy packet if included.
Rub turkey with softened butter and place in a 6-qt. slow cooker.
Pour chicken broth over turkey.
