One of my favorite salads to make during the holidays! It goes well with ham and turkey!
1/2 c. cinnamon red hot candies
1 c. tap water
1 (3-oz.) pkg. cherry-flavored gelatin
2 c. applesauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, dissolve cinnamon candy in water. Mix in gelatin and allow to dissolve; remove from heat and stir in applesauce. Pour into a glass serving dish and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
I like to double this recipe… but you’ll want to refrigerate overnight as it takes a bit longer for that volume to set.
